The Quest for Bebe's Perfect Birthday Gift

We wanted to get a photo of the three grandkids for my mom's birthday present this year. Well, that was easier said than done...

 ...They just needed to FOCUS...

 ...But, NOT so much on Nora...

 ...AND keep their tongues in their mouths...

 ...AND not look so bored...

 ...DOH...

BUT, in the end we got a pretty good one! Nora is normally so smiley,

so it's a shame she wasn't happier, but hey, 2 out of 3 ain't bad!

Beauty & the Beast

I've always heard tales that I was a BIG baby, but this really puts it in perspective! One of these pics is Nora at 3 months and one is me ... I will never tell who's who ... you can decide for yourself. And, the thing is that Nora isn't exactly a petite, skinny baby. She's got lots of rolls and even cute little elbow dimples.  When I borrowed my photo my dad wanted to be sure he would get his picture back (one of his "prized possesions"). Well, I say only a parent could love that face - Wowser!

Here's Ben with his new bass amp he built from cardboard boxes. I'm thinking this boy MIGHT have made too many trips to Guitar Center with his dad. Especially when Ben told me he needed a wah-wah pedal (he built this later using a Rice-A-Roni box).

And here is his original composition - he worked really hard on these notes. After he was done he sat at the piano to practice. Very serious business!

3 Months!

T-Ball

We might not have the next Albert Pujols, but Ben has enjoyed T-Ball. With this crazy weather we've been rained out more than we've played, but his first two sessions went pretty well. He learned the basics of using his glove, batting, playing in the dirt, waving to his fans while running the bases and collecting balls with his chin...

Up to new tricks!
