Good friends are hard to find! But, I guess, I wasn't surprised to learn that Arlo and Ben were great pals right from the start - that's how it worked when Kristina and I met at KCAI our freshman year. We were instantly old friends! It meant the world to us that Kristina and Arlo made the long journey to join us for Ben's third birthday so the boys could finally meet.They had a blast playing together. Ben got Arlo laughing pretty good and he definitely loved having THAT attention!! You could tell he really felt like the BIG BOY all weekend. Arlo is such a sweet, smiley, easy-going guy - you just gotta love him!
We may live far away - but we're definitely grateful to have such wonderful friends in our lives!

It sounds like Kristina and Arlo had a wonderful visit with your family. I'm so happy you have remained so close -- and it is wonderful to see Ben & Arlo together. Happy Birthday to Ben - it's hard for me to believe he's three years old. Great pictures of the visit. Thanks for posting them. The visit meant very much to Kristina. I love the pics you posted and will have to get copies, I also have some good ones of Ben opening his presents, I will have to send those on to you. Darrell and Arlo and I love to watch the "Arlo and Ben" blooper real, as if they are supposed to be sitting there quietly, but can't help it (like a silent movie we once went to...) We had a great time in St. Louis, miss you tons, and talk about "Nen" all the time. Arlo's dog barks like how Ben's dog barks now... Love you guys, Kristina
