Kansas City

The McKay/Willis clan headed to Kansas City last weekend. It was fun and exhausting. We visited Ben's Great Grammie and our KC cousins. We also checked out the Plaza, KCAI and the Nelson (our old stomping grounds, KAK - I missed ya!)

"Come on people!" Is Ben's new catch phrase - he was good at gathering the herd for the next activity. It was a riot!

Another cute shirt!

Ben got this cute "Future Moon-Walker" tee from his Great Aunt Melissa - she gave a presentation to a group of educators at a NASA conference. She was nice enough to think of him on her trip! You never know, maybe he will be a future moon walker!!

Hello, Tickle!

Auntie had Ben CRACKING UP the other night. She was tickling him like crazy - he turned it into a game - Ben would run away and say "Goodbye Tickle" when he needed a break. But when he was ready for more he would creep up to Amanda saying "Hello Tickle." We really should have gotten it on video because it was hysterical!

All Aboard!

Ben's latest love is playing with his Thomas train set. Joe likes building these complex tracks and trains are the first thing Ben talks about when he wakes up (besides Curious George - who's beginning to get on my nerves). Anyhoo, he just loves these trains and trains in general. Sometimes I wonder who is having more fun, Joe or Ben. I keep trying to make their tracks smaller - since our house is so small - but Ben and Joe keep adding to them. Guess I'm outnumbered on this one!

New toys!

Ben got this new sensory table and funny shirt from his Auntie and "Tom." He's been playing with the table for a while now - without the sand and water - but since it was such a beautiful day today we broke it out in full force! To say that he LOVED it would be an understatement.  He was completely absorbed in his work and wouldn't even look at me when I said his name. We had a lot of fun and definitely will be playing with it tomorrow!!

Auntie Day-

Aunt Amanda was very sweet to take Ben out one day during her spring break. They went up to the park at the school near our house... and clearly Ben had a great time! He still can't say "Amanda" so he calls her "Auntie" and it sounds extremely cute - - - he adores Auntie and "Tom" (he can say Uncle Tim, but it always sounds more like Tom). Ben LOVES, LOVES, LOVES Tim - the other day he was rubbing his head all over Tim's face totally nuzzling it - it was hysterical considering Ben is not very gentle with most things.

Chicks Dig Me

Ben had a fun Easter. He wore his "Chicks Dig Me" t-shirt, despite the SNOW! He loved his musical cards from his grandparents and is still enjoying them - he even sings along - Yummy, Yummy, Yummy. He found all of his plastic eggs (with assistance) and promptly opened them and dumped the contents. All-in-all it was a fun day!
