Oh My Gosh. . .

This is an astonishing sight and something we rarely see. Ben is actually sitting. Yes, he's watching Baby Einstein, but still. . . it's a true rarity. I actually had time to unload the dishwasher and straighten the house while he sat. He didn't work against me while I was cleaning and he wasn't even strapped in. AMAZING. It's a beautiful thing.

Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow

Ben got his first hair cut over the weekend. He was very brave and didn't seem to mind at all. He sat on his Daddy's lap and took it like a man :) It was getting really long! He would wake up from his nap with his hair sticking straight up and out.

Dinner for One

Uncle Tim and Aunt Amanda bought this cute table and chair for Ben to use while at their house. Ben doesn't do a lot of sitting, so it was cute to see him eat dinner there. Also, I couldn't resist adding this photo with his Uncle Tim - one of Ben's favorite people. Ben LOVES his uncle! Personally, I'm still mad at him for tormenting me all through our childhood. Thanks auntie for these photos!

He's Into Everything!

Poor guy had a double ear infection a few weeks ago. . . so we went to the pediatrician. While we were in the room waiting for the doctor, Ben took all of the books out of this bin and decided it would be a cool place to hang out. You can tell by his face that he doesn't feel well, but he was really sweet and in good spirits. I had my film camera in the diaper bag so I caught this pic real quick! Don't worry, he's feeling much better.

An Art Prodigy?

. . . You decide. Ben created his first masterpiece at daycare today - a watercolor commenting on his role in society - he said the colors spoke to him. At least that's what I think he told me. We think it's beautiful.

One Year Photos

We had a very active time at the photo studio! Ben did not want to sit still for his one year photos. He was running and climbing on things - - - and got quite attached to the ugliest chair in the place. It was more than we could handle! But after everything we did get a good photo. . .
