Uncle's birthday & Eggs

 Grandad reads to his girls - they LOVE to read!

 We dyed our Easter eggs - the kids got into it this year

Two of Ben's favorite eggs - he was into multi-layering the colors and adding white crayon to the different layers. What a little artist!

Randomness-

Ben is really into St. Patrick's Day and leprechauns ... he magically found a tiny bag of coins and a green rock while on a leprechaun hunt at the park with Bubba (unfortunately he never did catch a leprechaun). I saw this idea on Pinterest and thought Ben would get a kick out of having a leprechaun visit our house and leave little footprints on the toilet and green "pee." I did this the night before St. Pat's and he saw it first thing in the morning ... it was PERFECT for a 6-year-old boy. He was like "GROOOOSSSSS! A leprechaun went to the bathroom here." It was quickly followed by an "AWESOME, HE PEES GREEN!!!"

I have no idea what these two were looking at, but they sure looked cute!

Nora is quite the ham in front of the camera! She has 8 teeth, two molars on the bottom and two more coming up top. Some of her favorite words are Dada, Doggie, Hello (while pretending to talk on the phone), Night-Night, and All Done. She understands a lot and will follow simple directions - bring me your cup, can i have a hug, wave bye-bye, it's bath time (she LOVES this). She also loves going to pick up Ben from the school bus. She sees the bus coming down the street and she starts squealing and flapping her arm - it's pretty sweet she's excited to see her big brother! She also started walking April 1 ... more on that later!

Spring Break in KC!

We went to Hallmark's Visitor Center and the Family Art Session (fun!). 

Why didn't I get a hat?

And had lunch at Fritz's Railroad Restaurant -- you order your food by telephone and it's delivered to your table  by an overhead train. Nora liked this just as much as Ben -- she would SQUEAL when a train came by, wish I had a pic!

Hung out on the Nelson lawn ... missed you, KAK!

Saw Clif, Holly and their kids -- Grace LOVED Nora and was a fantastic babysitter!

Ben got a little jealous and wanted to give his sister attention, ha ha!

Saw Grammie -- it had been way too long!

Nora turned on the charm with her KC cousin Reed ...

And we had a great brunch with our cousins ... 

Whew, it was a quick trip but a lot of fun!

Washing Dishes-

I think Joe was trying to outsource his "job" of doing the dishes after dinner.

It didn't last long ... Joe's back on duty.

Off Her Rocker-

 

Grandad made Nora a beautiful new rocking chair of her very own that she loves! She figured it out right away and rocking is one of her favorite things to do. In fact, we had to bring Ben's rocking chair down from upstairs because the kids were fighting over who would get sit. Thanks for the "Dad Craft" Grandad - ha, ha - JUST KIDDING, it's WAAAAAY better than dad craft.

It feels so happy!

Learning at my school.

I can touch stuff more higher.

That I love my sister and I love myself.

Riding the bus home. I love learning numbers and ABCs.

What do you like about having a sister?

Because she’s so cute and kind and I’m not alone with my sister.

What's your favorite thing to do with Bebe and Grandad?

Going to the Magic House, doing workshop and Innsbrook.

What's your favorite thing to do with Bubba and Grampy?

Play, play angry birds and I like spending the night.

Did we take any vacations this year?

Lake Geneva and we went swimming.

In the past year, what have been some of your favorite books, movies, and music?

Star Wars = books and movies. Maroon 5.

What’s your favorite TV show?

Spongebob.

If you had a whole day to do anything you wanted, what would you do?

Play with all my stuff like everything that I have – all the toys I have.

What’s your favorite toy to play with?

Pokemon cards, but I don’t really have them.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

A doctor - like a hospital doctor.

Do you think you’ll ever get married?

No.

What have you learned about girls this year?

Girls????? Nothing!

Pizza and fruit-by-the-foot.
