We had such a nice time for Alex's wedding - lots of family togetherness. Nora got to fly with me (much to Ben's disappointment since he's never been on a plane) but Ben and Joe did manly things at home together. I come home to a clean house and the bed was made (usually something I do). Ben was SO happy to see me when I got back, and Joe was kinda glad as well ;) We missed our boys, but had a great adventure!

Story Time-

Most nights Ben "reads" a story to Nora before bed. Usually it's a short book he has memorized or something he makes up by looking at the pictures... tonight it was the Toys R Us catalog. Lots of items wish listed in there, let me tell you! Tons of Legos, but big brother even selected some things for Nora. So sweet!

Welcome-

So this is our new blog! I know the dedicated followers of our blogs (AKA grandparents and four of our friends) are wondering about the new name - it's a nod to Joni Mitchell's song "Sweet Bird" on The Hissing of Summer Lawns album. I've loved Joni (yes, we're friends) since I was about 14 and have almost all of her albums. So my kids have heard these songs and might even remember me singing "Sweet Bird" when they grow up. We'll see...

Now that "Miss Miss" can sit by herself she was able to take a bath in the big tub. She LOVED it and was smiling and kicking her legs the entire time. She had her big bro with her to keep her company...

Surprise!!

Bubba picked up Ben after school so they could get to work on a special birthday dinner for me. Check out that beautiful cake decorated by Ben. I have one thoughtful son :)

PS - he loves to relax with a nice glass of red wine after a hard day at school...

Innsbrook for Mama's B-DAY!

 Bebe and Grandad took Ben to Innsbrook after school on Friday for a special overnight trip. Well, when he got there he was ready to go!

The next day the rest of the family joined him. Thankfully I'll always have someone to help me blow out my birthday candles!
