"Baby!"

Ben and I got to meet my friend Kathie's new baby today. He was fascinated by Emery at first and then quickly moved on to "Annie" the Yorkie.

Ben seemed like such a big boy today - he walked with us to the park without his stroller, ate a sandwich at the market for lunch and sat with us at the table - no high chair - and he actually stayed put!

We loved meeting you Emery - you're definitely a keeper!

There's animals at the zoo?

We went to the zoo last weekend with the Willis/Maddi clan and had a great time! Joe and I kept trying to have Ben look at the animals, but all he wanted to do was look for the train. He seems nervous in the photos, but actually LOVED riding the train and going through the tunnels - he talked about it all weekend!

Just Another Day- Part II

Before the massive rains of the weekend, Ben and I had a nice afternoon at the park on Friday. We brought his daddy's old tow truck and Ben had a great time driving it on the mulch. We also played for a LONG time in the "sandbox" AKA - volleyball court. Nothing beats playing outside on a beautiful day!!

Just Another Day-

This morning was our Monday playgroup - it was a special celebration day for Connor's second birthday! We had donuts to celebrate - Ben's first delicious taste of a Krispy Creme. The boys were so cute today!

Tonight before bed he was reading to himself in his rocking chair. He has several books memorized and likes to go over his favorite lines.

Kansas City

The McKay/Willis clan headed to Kansas City last weekend. It was fun and exhausting. We visited Ben's Great Grammie and our KC cousins. We also checked out the Plaza, KCAI and the Nelson (our old stomping grounds, KAK - I missed ya!)

"Come on people!" Is Ben's new catch phrase - he was good at gathering the herd for the next activity. It was a riot!

Another cute shirt!

Ben got this cute "Future Moon-Walker" tee from his Great Aunt Melissa - she gave a presentation to a group of educators at a NASA conference. She was nice enough to think of him on her trip! You never know, maybe he will be a future moon walker!!

Hello, Tickle!

Auntie had Ben CRACKING UP the other night. She was tickling him like crazy - he turned it into a game - Ben would run away and say "Goodbye Tickle" when he needed a break. But when he was ready for more he would creep up to Amanda saying "Hello Tickle." We really should have gotten it on video because it was hysterical!
